Hi Drew,

Thanks again so much for taking your time with me today and providing all the expert advice; I thought I’d send you some quick feedback:
The ride home was a delight. By recent standards, I’ve done a lot of miles today but I feel very good now; would normally already expect to feel the sore knee by now.I was going really quite fast [beyond the motor support speed] and was also able to sustain that for long stretches, which shows that there is definitely an overall improvement.Gladly, there was no feel of this ‘vacuum build up in the knee that pops after a while’ either, which gives me a lot of comfort.
The new seating position definitely engages new muscles or at least some in a different way, including back/glut and the hip, but also feel it differently on the muscles around the knee. There is going to be some build up of muscles there for sure as I felt being tired out there faster, especially the back and glut. Just goes to show how bad my sitting position was. But crucially, I am quite confident that this is all beneficial for the knee and that I will be getting out much more on the bike now again, which will help my recovery.
